The Sceptre Preservation LLP - Share Ownership

From time to time, shares in Sceptre become available.  The LLP Members are currently looking for a small number of people with plenty of sailing experience and an enthusiasm for maintaining classic boats, to join them in owning, preserving and enjoying Sceptre. 

There are many benefits to joining the LLP:

• The opportunity to be part-owner of Sceptre, a classic 12M yacht
• The excitement and enjoyment of sailing with experienced sailors
• The satisfaction of making a practical contribution to the preservation of this historic yacht
• Making friends and gaining experience in sailing
• Sharing the cost and responsibility of upkeep and maintenance

There are obligations associated with owing a share, too:

• A yearly subscription
• A number of days to be worked on the boat, for winter maintenance or improvements
• Participation in charters, as skipper or crew depending on competence
• Involvement in the functioning of the LLP and the preservation of Sceptre

We believe that the first step towards membership of Sceptre Preservation should be to spend some time on the boat, together with current members of the syndicate.  We are therefore happy to arrange for prospective members to sail for a minimum of two days, for a fee which would be refundable in the event of a successful application.
