Materials:

Honduras mahogany on alternate steel and oak frames to I.R.C. scantlings.

Deck laid pine on marine ply and covered with Treadmaster 1994.

Lead keel approx 17 tons

Copper & Bronze fastenings.

Original Aluminium spars refurbished and new standing rigging 2001.

 

Major re-fit 1980-6 included engine installation, 12 berths, galley and heads.

Full and thorough professional examination resulting in modifications and re-enforcing, professionally designed and executed. 

All standing rigging replaced 

14mm mainstays, 12 mm runners & 16 mm forestay.

Mainsail:  Crusade 1275 sq ft (2005)   

No's 1, 2, 4 & 6  headsails all (2002 - 05)

3 Spinnakers, ghoster, spare Doyle mainsail

No. 7  storm jib.

Approx 6 other headsails in serviceable condition. 

 

Deck Equipment:

2 Original Primary Coffee Grinder winches

2 Barlow Halyard winches (1994)

4 Lewmar 55 runner, spinnaker and kicker winches (1998)

2 Lewmar 45 spinnaker/traveller winches (2005)

Stainless Steel Pulpit, Pushpit, stanchions and double guard wires. Simpson Lawrence Electric Anchor windlass.  (rebuilt 2005), 90 meters ½" stud link galvanized chain, 75 lbs CQR and 75 Danforth anchors.

Manual, electric and engine driven bilge pumps. Numerous warps, fenders and brushes etc in good condition.

 

Navigation Equipment:

Sestrel Major steering Compass, Raytheon interfaced GPS, windspeed and direction, log, echo sounder with cockpit repeaters (2001),

Furuno 24 mile Radar,(2003) VHF radio (2003), Navtex (2002).

Navigation and deck lights.

Hand Bearing compass, sundry dividers, rules, almanacs, Charts and Pilot Books.

Large chart table and chart storage drawer.

 

Safety Equipment:

To DTi/MCA requirements including 1 x 12 man and 1 x 6 man liferafts with hydrostatic release.

16 inflatable lifejackets, flares, fully equipped grab-bags.

Danbuoy and lifebuoys, MOB recovery sling & ladders

All annual inspection by appointed MCA inspector

Engine & Sterngear:

Perkins 4.236 72 hp 4 cylinder diesel.1986

Total rebuild of engine and gearbox (2003)

 

24 volt Smart 70 amp alternator to 4 x 6 100 ah volt domestic batteries and 2 x 12 90 ah volt engine starter batteries. (1998)

Engine driven Jabsco pump to deck wash/bilge. PRM 2:1 hydraulic gear box.

 

Stainless steel shaft, cutlass bearing and new feathering prop fitted (2004)

2 x 135 litre s/steel fuel tanks. Max speed 8.5 knots cruising 7 knots 6 lph.

Whitlock wheel steering, refurb. (1996), rudder rebuilt (1998).

New rudder and tiller arm fitted (2007)

 

Accommodation: 

12 berths, Dining seating for 12, 2 heads, shower. 3 stainless steel water tanks total cap approx 500 lts.

Hot and cold pressure to heads, and galley. Plastimo 3 burner and oven cooker, Cannon Grill (1998) , twin sink, 2 Fridges.(2005)

Annual re-fits:

Winter (2003-04),  2 months undercover at Berthon's Lymington, where extensive deck refurbishment and planking on re-fitted original counter, anti-fouled.

Winter (2004-05)  Preston Marina under poly cover.

Winter (2006-07) Universal Marina, Fareham: extensive work including fabrication and fitting of new ring beam, rudder and mast fittings.  Hull re-sheathed and painted.
